Terms and Conditions of Discount Traveler Membership

Welcome to Discount Travel , this is where you become your own traveling agent, you will find everything on one website - Flights, Car hire, Accommodation, Restaurants, Spa's, Tourist Attractions and Exclusive Travels.

Availability. All accommodation reservations are subject to expected availability as determined by the participating establishments. Availability may be restricted, severely limited or blocked out during peak periods, which vary between destinations. For instance, a peak period can be expected during school holidays and long weekends at popular holiday destinations or perhaps during particular week days or conventions at hotels near business centres. During peak periods, accommodations may have a restricted number of rooms available but not necessarily at the discounted member rate.
Discount. Subject to expected availability and the correct booking procedure being followed, membership with Discount Traveler will entitle cardholders with a 50% or lesser discount, off the rack rate for accomodation (the maximum non-published rate that all rates are discounted from) or price for Restaurants, Spas, Tourist Attraction and Exclusive Travel and cannot be taken in conjunction with other promotional offers, short term internet deals offered on individual hotel or third party accommodation and travel websites.
Bookings. Discounted reservations only apply when made as per instructions. Establishments are not obliged to give the Discount Traveler Card holders discount if the correct booking procedure is not followed. A valid Discount Traveler Card, as well as other personal ID will be required on arrival. Should members present the card only on checkout or when payment is due, the discount will not apply. Reservations made at rates higher than the Discount Traveler rate may not be converted at any time. The discount is only valid if the cardholder is present. Membership is non- transferable.
Term. Your membership is valid for reservation until expiry as stated on your membership card. Discount Traveler has the right to discontinue memberships should members misuse it in any way. Membership will be renewed yearly, until cancelation is received in writing from the member.
Membership . Covers the Member, Spouse and 3 children under the age of 21.
Coporate and Travel Agencies can be quoted separately by corresponding with Discount Traveler
Cancellation Policy. Establishments standard cancellation, deposit and late arrival policies apply, which vary from establishment to establishment.
Establishments. may change from time to time and Discount Traveler will not be held responsible for Establishments cancelling their contracts. Discount Traveler will however endeavour to secure compliance by all associated Establishments.
Establishment accounts . are settled direct with credit cards, cash or cheques only.

Making a reservation

1. Choose from the listed Establishment on our website. The price range listed for each Establishment is based on the rack rate for Accommodation or the listed price for Restaurants, Spa's, Tourist Attractions and Exclusive Travel this is in the local currency unless otherwise stated. As we continuously maintain our portfolio of participating Establishments, be sure to visit our web site regularly in order to stay updated.

2. To make a local reservation, simply call, or email the Establishment direct. It's important that you book in advance.

3. Booking Procedure -

Ask for reservations;
Identify yourself as a Discount Traveler member;
Ask about availability and whether the Establishment can assist at member rates.;
If the Establishment is fully booked, select another Discount Traveler Establishment in the area;
Confirm your reservation ask for the rate, confirm that your discount has been calculated. Make the booking and payment.
In order to avoid disappointment, please ensure that you receive written confirmation of your reservation. Alternatively you can ask for a reference number and or name.
Be sure to ask about the policy on deposits, cancellations and late arrival guarantees.
Present your valid Discount Traveler Card, as well as other personal ID on arrival.

Discount Traveler is an exclusive Traveler club, this website is designed to give you discount on your accommodation, car hire, airport shuttle and that you can use the airport lounges all at a discounted rate.
